Cynthia is the Immediate Past President of QLaw: The GLBT Bar Association of Washington and a 2009 graduate of the Washington State Bar Association Leadership Institute. She is also on the board of the QLaw Foundation and serves as an ACLU Washington cooperating attorney. She has been selected as a Rising Star by Washington Law & Politics for 2010 and holds a 10/10 rating on Avvo, an attorney rating website.

Prior to entering private practice, Cynthia received two Public Interest Law Foundation grant awards for her to work at the San Francisco AIDS Legal Referral Panel and Society of Counsel Representing Accused Persons. She also worked as a judicial extern for King County Superior Court judge Mary Yu and as a civil litigation extern for the ACLU. While at the ACLU, she assisted with the ACLU’s marriage equality case.

Cynthia earned her J.D. cum laude from Seattle University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University.
